Naomi Rivera has an enthusiasm for music starting when she was in elementary school. Showing her passion for music through the years of band she has participated in. Now, Naomi is showing her passion through radio. She wants to share her love for music to an audience, to make people laugh and love music. As a senior in high school, Naomi is an Assistant drum major for the Fernley High School band and is the Director of the Fernley High Interact Club. She wishes to join the U.S. Army after High School, go to school, and get her Ph.D in Forensics Anthropology. ” To be outstanding you have to pay a rent and the rent is due everyday. Music has always been part of my life. We had hippies teaching music in my elementary school and we sang all the Groovy songs as a kid. Got in trouble in high school and was put in a Men’s glee club (I was like REALLY). Turned out amazing, Found out I could carry a tune and man I loved to sing. I placed well in state with my singing and got a scholarship to a small Christian college in Kansas. After college I put music on the back burner for a few years. When I moved to Fernley Nevada that all changed. I was singing to myself and my buddy said that I should sing in the band he was in…..Man that was so cool. Did that for a few years…until the bass player (The dude was and a close friend) had a stroke. Now I was back to square one…. I always thought music would be part of my life and now there was this HUGE void…..Then I met J-Fierce-Rodriguez and now I have a new passion…..Radio. For as long as Andy could remember he has always had a love for music. When he was bored, he would listen to his beaten old radio in the living room at his house. He started getting into DJing at the age of 14, using a laptop, a friend’s turntables, and stereo speakers. That’s when his passion for music truly awoken. Andy loves comedy to make anyone and everyone laugh. He is currently in his High School’s Choir, Marching Band, and is currently trying to get in the Armani Choir. LA fell in love with radio 6 years ago and knew that it was what he wanted to do with his life. LA went to school specifically for radio, and studied Communication Studies at the University of Maryland University College. He graduated back in May 2015 and just before, interned as a local D.C. station for two semesters. After graduating, LA landed a job with the radio station he interned at. LA worked as an assistant producer for almost a year and eventually landed on-air weekend shifts and voice tracking at the station. His skills as a broadcaster grew rapidly with the help of the morning show he worked for at 107.3. He’s had a deep passion for Top-40 music for years, therefore he was able to quickly adapt to the Top-40 demographic. LA love’s to talk about pop culture, music, and interact with his listeners. LA strives himself to be fun, funny, all while being informative while being on-air.

The Churchill County Museum & Archive is a public-private partnership of Churchill County and the Churchill County Museum Association, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Located on historic Route 50, the museum was given the honorific title of being the “Best Little Museum on the Loneliest Road in America.”
Each year the museum presents a variety of exhibits and programs that reflect its mission to “collect, preserve, exhibit, and share those artifacts, photographs and documents that serve to illustrate the story of man and nature in Churchill County.”

The Fallon Theatre was built in 1920 by JW Flood who spared ‘no expense’ in building the “Finest Theatre in Nevada”! The theater originally had seating capacity of 1150 people but has seen remodeling over the years which now includes two theaters showing both first run movies & many older movies to be seen again on the ‘big screen’. We also feature live bands, comedians, community plays & other great events on our historic stage.
The Fallon Theatre ‘Supports the Arts’ and is a non-profit, fully volunteer organization. We have many opportunities for those that would like to volunteer to help at the theater. We also feature a ‘sustaining membership’ opportunity which allows you to donate to the organization and allows the sustaining member to attend movies & certain events for free.

Acceptance to Ivy Land, LLC is a three-step process:
1. Complete the basic demographics page and pay the registration fee
2. Schedule a tour/meeting with Ms. Ivy or Ms. Tyrie for Brigance screening.
3. Receive the welcome letter and registration packet.
Ivy Land started as a place for kids to come and play during the day so that parents could run errands, etc. As needs changed, so did we! Morphing into a Pre-K program and child care provider. Ivy’s love of kids as a face painter has made this an easy job! We strive to graduate children that are prepared to thrive in the Kindergarten environment, and they always do!
We are licensed for children from Infants to 12 years old!
We offer Pre-K, Daycare, Gymnastics, Jiu-Jitsu, and Dance Our Preschool/Daycare
Hours are Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Extracurricular hours go until 7:00.
Ivy Land has always been about helping kids grow and learn! Since our addition of Pre-K we have sent a lot of children on to the leading Kindergartens in the area with all of them scoring at the highest levels in their admissions tests!
Our Child Care program is all about helping your child stay engaged with the world around them while also learning new skills. From Art to Zebras. We like to send home kids that are happy, and want to come back!
Ivy Ward loves teaching gymnastics. Seeing the children progress and become more confident in their skills is such a joy. She has gone through a lot of training and certification courses to be able to safely teach children how to safely preform all of the moves required to become a world class gymnast.
Ivy and our gym are certified by the USAG.
Ivy Land is starting our second year of competitions and are very excited about our team and the progress they have made. Our team members are highly trained in the skills required to compete at the levels they have achieved.

A premier indoor playroom for kids to play, use their imagination, learn and grow.
Not a daycare.
Korra’s Playroom is a space for young children to explore and grow their imagination through interactive play in a room FILLED with toys! The playroom is an environment that encourages pretend play. There are numerous sensory toys and games, educational and learning puzzles, pretend play, kitchen and grocery store, train table, and lots more for hours of fun! We also have a separate baby area designed specifically for infants/non-crawlers (18 months and under).
We also have a TEEN table for the older children. The TEEN table has brain teasers, puzzles, how-to-draw books, perplexors, challenge games, a microscope, and much more! We do ask that only teens be allowed at this table as there are items on the table not intended for smaller children.
Here at Korra’s Playroom, we strive for safety and cleanliness. The playroom is sanitized nightly, ready for the next day of play, using ONLY child-safe products. The playroom is also sanitized throughout the day during low peak hours. We also have hand sanitizer available for use in the playroom.
Korra’s Playroom reserves the right to ask children/parents/guardians to leave if they are not following the rules or who are being harmful to others. Rules are posted in the Playroom upon entrance.
Last and foremost, we do ask everyone to please refrain from bringing any child to the playroom who is not feeling well/sick. We want to keep the playroom a clean and safe environment for all our friends who visit.
Enjoy our Cafe area where we offer FREE coffee, tea, and cocoa. We also have FREE Wi-Fi for those needing to get some work done while the little one plays. There is also a selection of snacks and beverages to purchase.
The Cafe area is nestled in plain view of the playroom to keep an eye on your little one while they explore.
