Our Board meets every second Tuesday of each Month at the Fallon Chamber at 6:00 P.M.

Cynthia McGarrah

President

Cindy has lived in Fallon and Churchill County for the past 40 years.

Cindy has lived in Fallon and Churchill County for the past 40 years.  She is a former business owner and currently works for a Financial and Investment firm.  Cindy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance.  Cindy also sits on the Churchill Economic Development Authority board and Churchill County Mesquite Abatement and Noxious Weed board.

Cindy has been the past producer and executive director of the Miss Fallon/Miss America Pageant Organization for 20 years.  Cindy is an avid Singer and will perform any chance she gets.  Cindy is proud to call Fallon and Churchill County her home and proud to be a Greenwave Alum.  Cindy has one grown daughter who lives in Florida.  


Angela Guthrie

Vice President

She feels blessed to raise her family here and be able to call Fallon “home”.

Angela moved to Fallon from Pennsylvania in 2005. She has worked for Financial Horizons Credit Union for the last 15 years and is currently pursuing her bachelors and then eventually her master’s in business. Over the course of her 15 years at the Credit Union she has earned her financial counseling certification and several IRA professional certifications. She has been the branch manager in our Fallon branch since 2010 and has worked hard at getting her presence known in Fallon with several community projects and fundraisers. She has fallen in love with Fallon and the people that live here. She feels blessed to raise her family here and be able to call Fallon “home”.


Valerie Johnston

Treasurer

She is happy to have made Nevada her forever home.

Valerie Johnston is the President/CEO of Reno City Employees Federal Credit Union and current board member of the Chamber. Valerie began her banking career in 1987 at Valley Bank in Las Vegas, as a teller, and worked her way up through the ranks. In 1998 she made the move to credit unions, understanding that credit unions served the communities where they are located better than banks. Prior to joining Reno City Employees Federal Credit Union, Valerie was the CEO of Churchill County Federal Credit Union in Fallon for 6 years.

Valerie attended the University of Nevada, Reno studying Business Management. She lives in Fallon with her husband, Scott. They enjoy geocaching, cooking, camping and traveling.  Their daughter, Leah is a pediatric dental assistant in Reno and their son, Matthew works for Tesla.  They enjoy the company of their Bengal cat, Toast.


Michelle Gabiola-Rogers

Secretary

She has seen a lot of changes take place in our community and believes it is still by far the best place to live.

Michelle has worked for CC Communications for 20 years. She was raised in in Fallon and is graduate from Churchill County High School. 

Her family has been in Fallon since the early 1920’s – her father Mike was born and raised here in Fallon. Her grandparents emigrated from the Basque county in Spain and made their home in Fallon. She has been fortunate enough to still live on the same farm her grandfather bought in 1934, which has now seen 3 generations of her family be raised there. 

She is married to Bret, and has 4 great kids and 2 wonderful grandchildren growing up here in Fallon.

She has seen a lot of changes take place in our community and believes it is still by far the best place to live. 


Ava Case

Director

Ava comes from many generations and family ties right here in our great little town.

AVA Case is a proud to call herself a Fallon native. She comes from many generations and family ties right here in our great little town. She went to CCHS and has attended many college courses at UNR, Boise and WNC. Her main studies were with Human Resources though she has found her niche with the local Fallon Job Connect since 2012. Where she is the ESD/Detr Rural Manager her territory of Coverage is Fallon, Fernley, Silver Springs, Yerington, Hawthorne, Lovelock, Winnemucca, Battle Mountain and McDermit.
She has been previously on the Fallon Chamber board of directors though had to resign due to health issues. She currently sits as a commissioner on the Churchill County Parks and Recreation board and has recently been appointed to the State of Nevada  Catastrophic Leave board by the Governor.
She feels Fallon is the place for her, since Fallon gives her a great sense of community and family.


Bret Rogers

Director

Bret is a lifelong Northern Nevada native.

Bret Rogers is an avid hunter and fisherman that is a lifelong Northern Nevada native. He attended Reno High and then studied business management through TMCC.  He has worked for Big R for 19 years and has been their manager for 18 of those 19. During his travels with work and play he came to love Fallon and the friendliness here.
He and his wife have been married for 22 years and have raised 4 children in Fallon, Nevada and looks forward to watching their 3 grandchildren grow up here as well. He feels that Fallon is their forever home.
Bret feels that he would be an asset to the Chamber board of directors with his business management experience.


Carol Arciniega

Carol is extremely happy to be back in Fallon after being gone for 35 years and is excited to call Fallon home!

Kimberlee Beeghly

Director

Likes adventure in serving this community that she loves.

Kimberlee was born and raised in Sacramento California. She attended Sacramento City College and then moved on to University of Nevada where she met and married her husband in 1983. They have one son together and he is now off to college in North Dakota.

Kim started working at Albertson’s superstore where she is now retired. She currently holds a position at Banner Hospital in the administration business office. She has volunteered to hold the position of president of the Greenwave Quarterback club which has grown exponentially since she has been in office. As of this year she will retire from that position and is looking for her next exciting adventure in serving this community that she loves.


Lucy L. Carnahan

Executive Director

She hopes to foster the city’s growth, but also keep the small town feel and closeness to the community.

Lucy L. Carnahan is the Fallon Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Director.

She comes with over 20 years experience in management, mostly within our non-profit sector.

She has built her reputation with staff building, supporting staff and volunteers  with duties and direction with daily assignment. Is a working leader with the ability to guide teamwork.

She has strong public relations and customer service. With the ability to organize and execute, supervise and coordinate administrative duties, projects including contracted services, special events, and marketing strategies.

Along with this has become proficient community networking, planning, delegations, and motivation. Well organized, dependable, detailed-oriented and flexible with change. Has the ability to work well with management, staff and consumers, as well as independently.

She has attended many State and Government contract negotiations, State Legislative Sessions, advocacy for transportation and human services.

Additionally, she has become a successful grant writer. With a verifiable track record of consistently meeting and exceeding monetary records.
