The Great Basin was simply a nasty bump on the road to the Golden State. It was a good place to forget. That’s not how Joseph Frey saw things, however. Where others saw dunes and brush, Joseph envisioned fields knee-high in crops and wide-reaching swaths of alfalfa, or what came to be known locally as greenwave. His vision took root and over the course of the next century, the Frey family continually fine tuned their business with new crops, new techniques and innovative measures in agribusiness.

Fast-forward to 2018 and that same family continues to successfully glean life from the land, finding, farming and developing high quality hemp for CBD oil, foods and milk, seeds, textiles and building materials. Western States Hemp is headed up by lifelong farmer Joe Frey and his partner Adrienne Snow, sister-in-law and, like Joe, rooted in a family with a ranching history.

Adrienne is Western States Hemp’s Business Development Manager/Founder and a well-respected visionary in Nevada’s entrepreneurial scene. She’s the creative force behind Western States Hemp, digging deep on current issues and avenues and exploring opportunities that others have yet to imagine. She continues to work closely with investors and like-minded entrepreneurs.
